Daily Blues, 2022
During the height of COVID-19 lockdowns, my living radius was confined to the building I lived in. It was me, my roomate, a small two bedroom apartment, limited living supplies and the building itself. The above were all I am connected to during that time. Under stress and anxiety, this is where my photograhy journey started. This project is a collection of my photographs during that time.
When facing disasters and atrocities beyond our control, we should sing and play as it is the only way it seems. As counter acts of what we withstood, that is what we did. Daily objects, our bodies, the space, are what we had and we played and danced with every bit of them. It was a process of healing, coming together and discovering what we overlooked in our daily life.
In this project, I aimed to build a collection of visual fragments that would comfort others who went through lonesome and seek solace.
