Jane Yu (born in Shaanxi, China) is a photographer with a keen eye for uncovering overlooked details in everyday life. Her work transforms the ordinary into something poetic, illuminating subtle brilliance within the mundane. Centering on themes of self- exploration, identity, and emotional release, she subtly weaves feelings of anxiety and restlessness into her surroundings—creating a fragile equilibrium that speaks to those navigating uncertainty.

Now based in New York, Jane recently graduated with a master degree from the School of Visual Arts.Her practice is deeply informed by personal experience, and draws inspiration from film, music, and literature. Through her images, she aims to evoke emotional resonance and foster a sense of belonging—a space where viewers might find reflection, connection, and quiet recognition.
